Science of Formatting, IWSG, and Cat Update

I am visiting Stephen Tremp today with a piece title “The Science of Book Formatting.”

One of the sites listed at the Insecure Writer’s Support Group is featuring an article today by founder Alex J. Cavanaugh. Please stop by How to Write Shop for more info on the IWSG.

In other news - Spunky’s cone of shame comes off today! He will be SO happy.

And here is Rocko doing what she does best - contemplating trouble. My cousin sent that cute black door-frame kitty and of course, it caught Rocko’s attention at once. I come into my office and find it on the floor, I know who to blame.

Hopping over to Stephen's ....

I tried to visit Alex over on How To Write Shop, but I couldn't seem to find the article. :(

YAY! for the cone of shame getting the ax.

Glad the cone of shame is coming off. How did it get that name in the first place?

L. Diane Wolfe said...

Elizabeth, he'll be a wild kitty when that happens.

Thank you, Natalie.

SA, it's up now.

Jo, maybe because they look so pathetic wearing it?

Glad Spunky is doing so much better! I hate when our little furry loves are not feeling well. :(

YEAH! I'm sure Spunky will forgive you in time.

That's so funny about Rocko. I have a cat that loves to knock stuff off the kitchen counter...right into the dogs' water dishes.

And YAY for Spunky being able to lose the cone of shame! Great news!

Already visited you at Stephen's. The real shadow stalking the fake shadow is so cute.

Ella said...

Spunky will be so happy, as will you!
Oh, I will have to stop by! My mom has one of those cat shadows-so cute!
Rocko is having a good time~

I hope Spunky gets some spunk back!

Yea! No more cone of shame!

And I will check out the links.

Julie, and it's sad to see him in the crate all alone.

MJ, your cat has a good aim.

Delighted that the cone has been removed. I used to wear a cone and it had "Dunce" written on it.

I love that photo and so does Penny the Jack Russell dog and modest internet superstar!

How to Write Shop and The Science of Book Formatting. Okay, time permitting, I shall try to peruse over.

Spunky's just waiting for that cat to land on the floor LOL!

Glad he'll soon be cone free.

He'll be happy, but you do lose a source of amusement :). I love the kitty decal. Something new is just irresistible to cats.

Hahaha, Rocko caught a new friend!

Ah, the fixated black cat stare. It's only a matter of time before the leap.

Ha, cute! I have artwork with two panthers on it, and I had a cat that would sit in front of the painting in the same position as the panther. He'd go up and tap it with his paws, as well. He thought was tough.

If you keep posting things like this, I might have to talk my wife into getting a black cat!

Yay for Spunky.

This reminds me of how I had a cutout cat and one of my cats kept attacking it.

Elise Fallson said...

Have you seen Coca-Cola's parody for a cone of shame for people that they call a Social Media Guard? It's really funny. Good to hear Spunky's doing better. :)

Laura S. said...

That is adorable! Your kitty is probably really confused. So funny!

Happy reading and writing! from Laura Marcella @ Wavy Lines

Poor Spunky and the cone, but I'm sure he'll be glad when it comes off. I don't know how cats react to that cone, but one of my Chihuahuas had to have that one time and I swear she couldn't walk with it on. She kept high stepping her feet and doing all sorts of weird things with her legs which turned into entertainment for her humans.

L. Diane Wolfe said...

Gary - LOL!

JE, watching him bump into things with the cone on has been funny.

Shannon, that's cute.

Steven, want mine? Rocko is available.

Elise, no I haven't. I'll Google it.

Gossip Girl, he walks with it, but it's funny.

That would definitely get my cat's attention too . . .she would be wondering how that other cat got up there. :)

My cats enjoy contemplating trouble, especially my Nini.

Sigh of relief that Spunky is doing better. Ah, Rocco...typical and funny to watch the first 2 or 3 times, after that? It quickly loses it's awww and humor, lol!

Our dog had a cone after losing is 'bits' last year. Poor chap couldn't get through doors or eat his food without a little help. So hurrah for losing that! And now I'm of to Mr Tremps for your post. X
